Blue & Gold Banquet!
The annual BLUE AND GOLD banquet is when we remember the birthday of scouting, please come celebrate with us! And bring your extended family, grandparents, cousins, friends, etc, all are welcome! This year’s theme is SPACE!!!
The Cub Scout Carnival will kickoff at 9:45AM so you definitely don’t want to be late. Then we’ll proceed with an abbreviated pack meeting; note that we will be doing recognitions this time so the boys can get caught up on their patches and belt loops. We’ll have special guests from the Friends of Scouting program who will explain why it’s so important to be generous to scouting and then they will ask for donations. We’ll also have a brief presentation on summer camp. There will be raffles throughout with some great prizes! A delicious barbecue lunch will be served too! A vegetarian option will also be available. And then the main entertainment……..CIRCUS KAZOO is coming! You won’t want to miss it!!!
New this year is the DESSERT DECORATING CONTEST! This is optional, but scouts are encouraged to work with an adult partner to choose (any kind!), bake, and decorate a dessert for everyone to share at the banquet. These desserts will replace the traditional sheet cakes we’ve had in the past. And there will be prizes for the most creative SPACE-themed decorated desserts!
The large majority of the costs of the Blue and Gold banquet are paid for by the Pack, but to help offset expenses we do charge $13 per person (all scouts and kids 5yrs and under are FREE). Please bring cash or check to buy your entry tickets.
Please RSVP here on the evite website by February 15th. And please indicate in your reply how many scouts, other kids, kids under 5yrs old, and adults. Also let us know if anyone in your group has food allergies. Thanks, and hope to see you there!
